Epworth Old Rectory is a historical and methodist charity. The Rectory is the childhood home of John and Charles Wesley.

The Project

The charity's main goal was to increase its online presence by establishing a blog. I provided blog management services from May - October 2023. I set up a blog in WordPress and produced monthly blog articles promoting its events and exhibition offer. I then delivered...

The results: The website saw a 84% increase in unique page views and 60% increase in visitor numbers within 3 months.

Writing Samples

We wanted to set up a blog page on our website to help drive engagement with the Old Rectory and its fascinating stories but had no clue where to start. Christie set up the blog for us and wrote three really engaging blogs about an exhibition focused on 18th century life. Christie listened to what we wanted and developed a tone of voice and style that suited the Old Rectory. The blogs proved to be really popular with feedback including, "a really fascinating article" and "great blog!" and helped drive traffic to our website by over 200%. The support from Christie has also crucially set a road map for us to create future blog posts. Thank you! :)
